  Invisalign®

  Invisalign is an alternative to traditional orthodontic treatment. While braces rely on brackets, wires, and bands, Invisalign uses clear plastic aligner trays. These virtually invisible aligner trays are difficult to notice, even when people are up close. Each computer-designed aligner is worn for at least 22 hours a day. After two weeks, patients discard their current aligner and start wearing the next aligner in the treatment plan. With each new aligner, patients gradually improve the alignment and spacing of their teeth. Invisalign aligners can be removed with ease, allowing patients to eat their favorite foods and practice good oral hygiene without any hassles. Tooth movement and aligner design are developed with a computer, which makes the treatment process comfortable and predictable.

  Veneers

  At our Thomasville, NC, practice, we offer minimal-prep veneers and traditional veneers, giving our patients more treatment options. Both types of veneers require the removal of a small amount of enamel from the tooth in order to properly fit and blend with your natural teeth. Minimal-prep veneers require even less alteration to the natural tooth and are much thinner. This is a great solution to cover cosmetic imperfections while maintaining as much of the natural tooth as possible. If you have significant discoloration, traditional veneers may be a better solution, as they hide discoloration better. However, minimal-prep veneers can, in some cases, be reversible. Generally, teeth that have been prepped for traditional veneers will always require some kind of restoration.
